We are dedicated to creating off grid experiences in nature that soothe the soul, nourish the body and bring peace of mind. Our guests come for a variety of experiences including nature hikes, backcountry skiing, snowshoe adventures, educational forest events or simply coming for relaxation, meditation, yoga and enjoying the cedar sauna.

The adventure begins with a journey through one of two historic towns, Kaslo or New Denver. We are located at the top of the world-famous Kootenay on Highway 31A. Our staging area is at the townsite of Retallack, where you will park near some old mining buildings. From there, you can expect a 3km easy hike up an old mining trail until you reach the sanctuary located at 1250 m elevation. You will cross a 50 ft bridge that spans White Water Creek, and the expansive views of peaks and waterfalls get better as you go. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, waterfalls, and, in the right season, huckleberries.

We encourage everyone to pack in and pack out. If there is a larger group and larger items are required, there is driving access from the Rossiter Creek Forest Service Road. We are happy to help get in by special request.
