With an annual snowfall of over 550 inches, the sanctuary becomes the ultimate winter wonderland. For backcountry skiers and boarders, it provides access to the iconic Mt. Brennan, Rossiter Peak, and Whitewater Mountain. For those not seeking extreme activities, it allows for snowshoe exploration to the creek, old-growth walks, snow cave building, and just playing in the snow. Everyone is required to sign a waiver to stay on this private property, and everything is self-guided.

The 450 sq ft. temple has a woodstove as well as our newly finished cedar sauna. This allows for a rejuvenating experience for anyone willing to make the hike. We maintain this area of the land as an alcohol-free space and can offer food services and massage by request. The temple has views of Mt. Loki, Texas Peak, Reco Mtn, and side peaks of Mt. Brennan. The views are mesmerizing and never get old. The Sun Temple has sleeping options for up to 4 people, a full kitchen with a propane stove, and yoga props for stretching out after a long day.
